Time to make my ss more me: Update Day1

Its a toto with a black and white theme, with white wall wheels. So I'll be powder coating my pedals white. Or should I paint them? Then do the same thing to thehandle bars. Any one have ideas for the spokes?

I will be using different pedals though, ones that hold the foot on.

Well, i can do it all my self for free, so I would rather not spend $ even if it is 15$ Plus I like doing things with my own time and effort.

Which part of the pedal do you plan on painting? The cage that goes around or the whole thing?

how about black on the handlebars and keep the white wrap so it alternates black white? continue by painting the risers and headset to also alternate. same with seatpost, pedals, crank and saddle frame.

I was planning on doing the seat post (?risers?) white, and that top piece black under the seat, but you have a good point with it being black, now you made this a whole lot harder! lol. Mustachiod has the right idea with the pedals. But i am trying to stay away from a stripe look. Handles bars might be wrapped half way with white.

As for the spokes... I was wanting (more like dreaming) i could do a quarter of them white, next 1/4 black, next 1/4 white, last 1/4 black again, any thoughts on that?

If you cant tell already, im trying to get rid of as much chrome as possible, yuck.

Day1: Found some new pedals that will hold my feet. Spinning the pedal around the screw that goes into the crank set, the bearings didnt feel 100% so i took it all apart and shoved everything into the parts washer at work (except the bearings). I will jam some racing grease back in there when everything is all said and done, giving me just that much less friction I havent taken everything off the bike yet, doing everything bit by bit so i can still ride it :-D

Bike has its on place in the shop, love my boss.

Dont be a fool, wrap your... seat? *failed attempt at humor*
White seat in a dirty shop, they dont mix

Will have some more updates on monday!
