Upgrading IRO cranks to sugino messenger. Wanting to try 1/8. Thoughts and advice?

So this seems to be the majority of IRO owners first upgrade.

So from what I gather I'm going to need a Sugino Messenger crankset, a new BB, and a new chain. Am I also going to need to get a new HUB as well? Is there any other crankset I should consider other than the messenger? Thanks y'all

Hrmm the make a Messenger in 3/32...actually I think I'll stay 3/32 for awhile. I don't see the reason to spend tons of money replacing parts just to try to run 1/8 lol

Just a note, this isn't much of an upgrade. If you really want nicer cranks spring for omniums

You won't need a new hub, even if you wanted a new 1/8 cog, which isn't necessary because 1/8 chains work with 3/32 cogs. Just get a new cog and switch them out. You may even not need a new bottom bracket, I believe the sugino messengers want a 103x68 JIS taper, such as the sugino BB3. I'm not sure what comes stock on IROs.

3/32 is quiter in mt experience. I like 1/8 but I personally run 3/32 for the quietness of the drivetrain. I have yet to brake a 3/32 9sp chain on any of my track bikes anyway.
