Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

EDIT: forgot to mention: it does seem like the crank swap was kind of a sidegrade... being new, maybe you should keep this thread alive when you're thinking about other changes so that you don't burn money on equivalent parts...

Stuff like this should be posted in the Kilo pictures thread and not have new threads started about it.

+1 Unless you are asking a question, or have something else to share aside from your bike, there isn't any reason to start a new thread

I guess this is more of a replacement. I ended up stripping both cranks arms with my amature pedal installation skills. The LBS showed me how to properly install them.

No I put them on the correct sides. But instead of tightening them by hand I tightened them completely by wrench and cross threaded both pedals. My left pedal fell out mid ride and the right one pulled right out when I got home.

Not when you're going from stripped crankset to functional crankset, I suppose...

Okay. OP - cool that you got a new crankset to replace the one you messed up. Please post in the Kilo thread from now on with stuff like this. Thanks.
