Bike lights
I got a ticket a while back for not having a bike light, it was around 10 on a weeknight. A cop passes me, flips it, and actually pulls me over. Got it in the mail today: ITS $185 ****ING DOLLARS. I find the fee absolutely absurd. Just felt like warning the people who don't always roll with a light. And ranting.

You're from Davis.... police are exploiting how the majority of UCD students there ride bikes.
But yea, you should've known better... especially when you live perhaps in the bike capital of the US....

I don't understand why it's considered to be the bike capital. Yeah tons of people bike at UCD, but apart from that, I don't see it as a HUGE biking town. Not to mention there isn't a single competent shop around...
