Problem with flat tire...

Every time i ride my bike the air in the front tire seeps out somehow...i thought it was the tube so i replaced it...then i thought it was the velox tape around the rim...which i replaced...and the problem still continues...my front rim isn't completely true...could that have something to do with it? its very frustrating losing speed and having to work extra hard up a hill with a tire with low air...any ideas guys?

You need to find where the tube is leaking from in order to determine the cause. Remove the tube, inflate it and place it in a tub of water to find the leak. You will see bubbles where it's leaking. If the leak is on the inside, it's rim related. If it's on the outside, it's tire related. If tire related, remove the tire and look for a sharp object like a piece of glass that is sticking thru the inside of the tire casing, and puncturing the tube.

Also, if at all possible, do not use tire irons to install the tire, just work it on with your fingers. Make sure the tube is not being pinched between the tire bead and rim.

Oh, just one more thing and not to rag on you, but next time post this type of question in the Bicycle Mechanics forum.
