new wheelset for xmas maybe
i have weinman dp18's in white and I'm wanting a more box section, classic looking rim. Should I go with velomine's mavic or sun wheels? Is there a reason to get open pro's over cxp rims? Or should I stray away from shallower rims for strength reasons, because I'll admit I'm not easy on my wheels.

Your cog is slipping.
Don't fear the box-section. My Sun M13s have been nothing but good to me and I'm a heavy hitter.
Unless you're a 350 lb gorilla busting mad trikzzz, a properly-built 36h M13 laced 3x will most likely be stronger than any rim you'd ever need.

Painfully average.
Definitely vote on getting some M13's like ^. They look awesome and are said to be good quality if built right.
Also, scrod what's your inseam? lol

Iv been running a set of CR18's in 36h 3x for over a year now and have not even had to true them. I am a lighter weight rider but ride like im on a bmx bike.
If you want wider tires, I highly recommend the CR18's. I say that because the CR18 is a wider rim and doesnt like anything below a 28-30c tire.

I bought Mavic Open Pro to Dura Ace hubs from Velomine and have been happy with them, but they aren't the strongest wheel ever. They are in need of a truing pretty badly right now. Then again, I'm crazy fast, strong and wreckless.
