Cyclecross is the shiz!
So I did my first cyclecross race (single speed of course, the idea of using gears out there hurts my head) and man it was a blast! Much harder than I expected though. I also came in pretty far back too . I am totally hooked. So I was wondering if any one else here rode CX or raced? Maybe some other PDXers doing cross crusades? Bike setups and tire choices?

A few of the mechanics at 21st avenue bicycle compete...You should chat it up with them. They are always a friendly group.

I race both geared and SS cross. I've been hooked for three years now but I still suck. If you are in Portland then you have no excuse not to. Get out there and get muddy.

well at the cross crusades race I was at there were a few unicycles and as many BMX. So really its what ever bike you want... I do single speed because I dont want to have to think about gears while out there and I saw a few issues because of gears out there...
