Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Beautiful. I've wanted one since my friend found one at the flea market to resell (which he did quite easily; not to me anyway, it was too big).... probably someone's baby...

Someone on this forum once said only old people like Bob Jacksons.

That person was a total nerd.

If I were to order one, I'd go whole hog and get the Reynolds 853 Arrowhead lugs version.

I ordered direct from the Bob Jackson website. It is an off the peg frame, not a full custom. I definitely would have gone 853, arrowhead lugs IF: 1) I could justify the extra 300-400 and 2) i knew I would be waiting 6 weeks for a supposedly "Off the peg" frame they said they keep in stock

This is why I haven't been able to decide on a new steel bike. Every time someone posts a pic of
their new bike, I think, "That's the one I want!"

Very nice looking bike. Are they drilled for brakes?l

yea, the fork is drilled for brakes. If you want rear brakes, you can request that when you order
