H Plus Son SL42 w/ machined brake track
Does anybody know for certain whether the actual machined brake track part on a black SL42 rim is black or silver? I can't imagine how somebody would manage to make it black without anodizing the rim again, but a lot of the pictures I see of them online make it seem like the machined section is really dark.
I.e. : https://cgi.ebay.com/H-Plus-Son-Deep-...#ht_1958wt_922
Thanks!

It is black- "This set features a front wheel with a solid black machined front rim (even the machined area is black!)."
But they probably did anodize it again, or else it would be silver. But by machined, I think they mean "can use brakes," as opposed to "non-machined" sidewalls, such as the B43, where there is no flat surface for a brake.
Hope that makes sense... LOL

Yea, they say that the brake surface has been anodized black... which would lead me to believe the color would simply rub off after braking on it for a while.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. Machined it, then anodized the whole thing.

I have a pair of black, machined HPlus Son rims. They are all black, even the brake track. I imagine it will wear to silver eventually.
