Lemond makes a new version of the Houdaille Road Machine. While Greg's idea is not very original I like the idea more then the normal trainers(mag, fluid, wind) but pretty expensive. Back to the original question. Yes a bolt on wheel will work the Nasbar Fluid trainer. I tossed my EighthInch Tessa rear wheel into my Nasbar fluid trainer and it fits perfectly with no play. The trainer is the new model as I just bought it last month. Now if I could just figure out where to attach my resistance adjustment lever on my bike since it has bars with the flat aero-ergo section. I bought it since it's ALOT quieter then a mag or wind trainer and half the price of a name brand trainer. I tried a CycleOps Mag trainer at my LBS and it was incredible loud and not adjustable and for the adj fluid trainer it was $300. While the Nasbar adj fluid trainer ran me $150 so you do the math and that's $150 to use on one of my bikes or for training videos.
