Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? upgrading for the sake of upgrading! may he who hasn't etc. throw the first stoned...
well lets just say i started with a very budget frame and everything else because i wasn't sure how much i would be into ss/fg.....so i am definitely into it a year later, and have upgraded to a better frame recently....after getting new frame planned to upgrade cranks and sell the used pake crankset, and have always like the miche chainring/cranks and heard/read they were good, noticed them on a lot of quality builds, and saw a chainring on ebay new and threw a halfhearted bid on it for 15 bucks not expecting to win and ended up winning....
so here i am now! i know i know, cool story bro

illdthedj, if you could start over from scratch with the SAME amount of money, just a time-machine at your disposal what would you do?

the same amount of money i spent at the very beginning? or the amount i spent over the year?

i guess i would buy the new frame i recently purchased instead of the cheapo one i started with, and a to be determined good quality crankset instead of the pake one i have now ;p

i like everything else on my build...

anywho just to end this thread because it seems to have angered many a bikeforums-er (or 3 ) i think im just going to go with the Miche crankset

So lets now talk about which crank length!! no just kidding.
