On the other side of that coin, I'm not surprised at all by how unappealing I find it to be.

maybe I should have gone for the miche crankset I was considering before. I also think i may have over done it with the anodized red bits. This chain ring is a unique design from factory five in Shanghai and was a little lighter. Probably won't hold up long anyway, I can replace it once i beat it down.

Thanks for the feedback though. My biggest issue with the bike is getting used to the geometry of a track bike.

^^After spending a bit of time looking at Leader's facebook page, I can tell you to avoid anything, other than frames, designed in Asia.

They post some of the most hideous looking builds from over there.

That chainring, the red bits all over, black spokes, deep v rims, the fork, bullhorns, foot straps, and the Brooks. I guess I just dont like this bike.

also seems to be a trend there of pointing the bull horns down past horizontal, that I don't get at all.

For what it's worth my frame is a colossi cheeko. Besides, I simply built this to have a cheap fixed gear bike for weekday workouts on short routes and coffee runs more or less. Also wanted to finally find a way to use my brooks saddle. It would look stupid on my other two bikes, well maybe not the hybrid, but barely.

Plus it's got a spacer headlight under the stem, haha...

Not sure why this isn't letting me post a larger picture, even the smallest size from flickr won't load. Oh well.

Sorry about the small picture in my last post, I don't know why the heck it's not letting me post a larger attachment, something is just wonky today with either my computer or this website.

Except you can't take them off to recharge them without removing the stem or seat. That's kind of the idea so they are harder to steal. They come with a six foot long USB to micro cable to recharge. Anyway, it's nice to have a light tucked under the stem and not cluttering the bars. Given how hideous my chain ring is, I should only ride this monstrosity at night anyway

Not a bad idea. Bit concerned when they describe them as 'stupidly bright' and they're only 200 lumens. The ones I use are 1500 Lumens so 200 is more like 'stupidly dull'. Good enough for occasional use, I've learned to want more on the roads I ride on. Having said that, they're a damned good idea though. Hope they sell lots.

They're also a little heavy. What's pretty neat though is when they are charging an internal blinking light on both front and rear is orange and then turns green when fully charged. Didn't expect that until I first plugged them in. I'm a nerd like that I guess.

I really wanted them for my matte black cannondale bad boy but unfortunately the front light only fits up to a 1.25 stem, the BB is 1.5.

What do you do when the battery won't hold a charge anymore? Can it be replaced? (even if it requires tools to replace)

(plus, what @europa said, 200 lumen is a joke as a primary light. My primary is 1100 lumen and I run day (flashing) and night (solid) both.)

guess its time to replace the light at that point. Anyway, I've decided to sell this, I'm not liking the track geometry. I am putting ultegra on my roadie and figure I can sell this for a cyclocross frame and put my shimano 105 set on there along with the aksium rims and drop bar from my roadie and have a bike that I like better. Not sure why the fixie bug bit me this winter and prompted me to build this one.

Again, did I unwittingly violate some etiquette here to deserve such rudeness? I've nothing against fixed gear, I just don't feel good on a track frame. No need to be obnoxious.

Unless the very term, fixie, implies hipster ****** in which case I apologize for using it I was really just referring to the track geometry of my bike.
