It was probably the bike that hooked me into wanting a fixed gear, so it's always going to be special to me.

I just looked up your bike. WOW!!!

1) Track drops suck for actual riding
2) The fact that you're using a 0-setback post on a 74.5º seat tube with a short 90-100mm stem *looks* like improper fit (maybe you've got really long legs with short femurs, I dunno)
3) Those better not be wire-bead gatorskins....

I think you are wrong in trying to apply practical criteria to a frame with a silly graphics scheme like a Vigorelli. That bike will be great for walking in the arts district.

Hahaha, it's quite funny to think about the backlash and flack when I posted Cinelli's first "caliedo" color schemed cat 1 Pro best of road frame and this complete 360 of the hatred to love.

White & blue vigorelli is best vigorelli and original vigorelli!

Yeah, but that dude lives in Arlington, we don't really have an arts district. We don't really even have coffee shops other than Starbucks. (well, not in central Arlington)

I wouldn't have it by other way.

I like that Vig, except it already looks like all the other new Vig builds. Which isn't a bad thing you know but I'd like to see a lil more diversity in the builds.

How do you think the Giro Pink Vig. would look built up with silver/polished parts? (every build I can find online is all-black everything but the frame, or awful awful ugly anodized pink)

Scrodzilla 03-18-14 01:56 PM

My gut says yes.

Just like any other build, as long as the components flow it should be ok. And I agree, so many jackass builds with that livery.

Black stem.
Either go all black or all silver

^^^ I like everything except the camo bar tape. Also, I think it would look awesome with gum colored hoods and a Brooks honey leather saddle.

I would love to keep my B17 on there but the seat tube angle angle just isn't Brooks compatible. I have gum colored hoods but they fit a little loose and I don't like that.

Yeah, but then I need to buy a tandem cable for the rear.

Isn't that the most common way to route the cable for bar ends?

Oh, by the way, the bike looks great. I like big frames.

I like how some ppl run them with the bars towards the headtube. Looks slightly cleaner to me.

It does look cleaner, I'll give you that.

Offset seatpost looks a little severe. I would replace it with a straight post and correct your saddle position so it is neutral. A stem with less rise would look much better and cut down your fork if you like the current position.
