Just made an order from assbar, bad customer service, bad policies, bad shipping.

Only would order again, if like this time. Everything I'm buying was dirt cheap and I had no immediate need for it.

yup, those seem to be the requirements for ordering from them.

In my experience, ordering directly from Niagara is a little better than going through Amazon. Their communication still sucks though. I once made a mistake in an order and e-mailed them right away so it could get corrected before shipping. I didn't hear back from them until two days after my order arrived (which was about 10 days after I placed the order).

I think I've only ordered once from Niagara through Amazon. They were really slow, and their prices weren't that great either.

Nashbar has been pretty slow for me but their prices are pretty solid, especially when they have sales or coupons. I avoid Nashbar when I need something in a timely manner but I don't mind ordering from them when I'm just picking up some spare parts.

How does BikeWorldUSA from amazon fare for shipping? It's either that or Niagara for the same priced item, and last time I ordered from Niagara they took a bazillion years.

Is CycleChoice the same as city grounds? They have the same website and almost exactly the same inventory.

Yeah, pretty sure cyclechoice is some sort of clearance site for citygrounds. Definitely legit, though!

I'd like to reiterate:

+1 again for Business Cycles. Great customer service over the phone. 1/2 of my order needed to come later, so he shipped the first 1/2 immediately and didn't charge me for shipping when the other stuff came in.

+1 again for Ben's Cycle. In the last few weeks, I've ordered from their website and their ebay site. Great service, fast shipping. Apparently they keep the inventory between the two systems separate so that one system doesn't sell items out from under the other. Good policy.

Had a great experience with CityGrounds ordering a frameset and some miscellaneous parts. Prep+shipping took about a week from California to PA (which I think was made worse by me having different billing/shipping addresses). I spoke to them on the phone twice and they were very helpful and nice, packing was done really well also.

we'll see how the shipping/items go but the ordering process with https://www.treefortbikes.com was top notch. matched the price of an item I wanted, then added an item to my 'free shipping' order that I had forgotten to without any fuss. extremely friendly staff

I've ordered numerous items from PricePoint with nothing but great service.

I have also used RackAttack.com for bike rack parts and they have done good by me.

I know someone mentioned ebay sellers on here, I haven't seen a list so I'll just go ahead and ask: anyone dealt with the ebay seller chicabike? You can see their stuff here: https://shop.ebay.com/chicabike/m.htm...&_trksid=p3686

It's mrs. bikesdirect. Cheaper merchandise than the cheapest bd bikes. Quality is below the minimum level that I'd want to own. Vendor reliability is probably about the same.

It's a toss-up between buying from chicabike and buying from roadbikeoutlet (a vilano, to be specific)...

I just bought a Vilano frameset from roadbikeoutlet through their eBay store icatchdeals. It was processed quickly and packaged properly. From what i can tell, the Vilano bike is a bit better quality than the Dawes MTA from chicabike, but still below minimum bikesdirect fare.

+1 for Ben's cycles. The shipping wasn't cheap/free, but it was fast. Got my stuff with them in a timely manner.
+1 for Retro-gression as always. Ordered my pedals last wednesday evening, was on my doorstep yesterday afternoon
+1 for bikeisland. ordered a crank from them Wednesday evening, had it Thursday. free shipping too! (though I live in state)

Haven't heard from treefortbikes since ordering last Wednesday. Had two items update as 'on backorder' AFTER I purchased them and had to change them, and am hoping they've shipped my stuff already by now and just haven't let me know. The guys were super nice when I had to call or change something, but if it takes forever to get my stuff then all that's for nothing for when I'm hoping to get things quickly~

follow up to treefort - all my items are on stock by they haven't shipped. got the 'first thing tomorrow' thing that I heard last Thursday, so uhm I don't know what they do after orders come in. again, extremely helpful during the purchase, but maybe whoever is in charge of shipping should take notes from their sales team

I no longer have the card I used but that's good info. Thanks for the heads up.
