Not saying that Andrew Low isn't being a complete ******bag, but there's got to be more of a reason for him to think the Kagero is a ripoff, right?

Otherwise, why wouldn't he just go after Cinelli or claim that the Kagero was based on the MASH, aside from the LOW/MASH friendship?

I was very confused about that post.

I thought that the most interesting thing about the kagero is its fork. Does LOW even make forks?

Low uses Alpina forks, just like the Kagero.

Ah, I didn't realize that the fork I was seeing on the kageros was just an alpina painted grey. It works really nice that way, but the frame always seems kind of vanilla.

Let me clear up this topic since I've already chatted with Andrew Low. Andrew doesn't really follow blogs and such, so he had no idea how the Kagero really looked like. He was flipping through the recent issue of Loop Magazine and saw a photo of the Kagero... which he first thought was a LOW. Andrew started to research more photos of the Kagero and noticed all the recent photos of the Kagero were posted mid-summer 2011 to present. So with that said, he thought the Kagero was designed and produced in that short time frame. I explained to him that the Kagero project has been going on since January 2009. Also, I gave him the link to the Kagero website (www.thekagero.com) so he could see how our frames are completely different other than being both Lo-Pro style frames and using the Pista carbon fork. Andrew apologized for jumping the *** and everything is all good.

I wish everyone who thinks the Kagero looks like someone else's frameset could go to the Kagero website and see all the indifferences. We designed the Kagero to be as original as possible. Even our dropout molds were costly and owned by us. Lo-Pro aluminum frames have been around for quite some time... before the Cinelli/MASH, before the KHS Aero Track...

The Kagero fork is a Pista fork which Alpina also uses as well as Bianchi, Dodici, Superflou, etc. We got our fork from the same place Alpina gets theres.

Who actually makes the Alpina F04? I never really did any research but always thought Dolan was the manufacturer and everyone else rebrands it.
