Thanks. 40 seconds on the retrogression site told me the same.

Looks really nice, I'm a fan.

Doomride, I had that same wheel and tire set up on my IRO Mark V Pro but had to do away with the front b43 and thickslick because it was a wicked heavy set-up, wind and climbing was a ***** and I didn't want to change my gearing just to compensate for weight. Have you had that issue at all? Really dig your bike tho, I was debating on the exact same set up before I went with the IRO.

To be honest they are on the heavy side. I have experienced the cross wind which is annoying, but riding on windy days generally is. As far as climbing goes, I live in a downtown area where there are few significant climbs. When I head up north to ride however there are a lot of intense grades. I flip the wheel to the larger cog. Now that the bike is complete it is the lightest steel frame I've owned so I haven't really hit the ''I want to lose weight'' wall yet, although I know I will. At which point I have a lighter set of Velocity Chuckers, which are lighter, shorter, and wider. I'm just really diggin' it for what it is right now. There is also a lot of room for lightening up this set of b43's if I want to go that route. The upside to the b43's I'm finding is the overall sturdiness / stiffness I feel when I ride. As far as the thickslicks are concerned I'm pretty much hooked right now, they ride great and I'm tired of goat head's popping through on my rebino pro's.

Finally decided on the Leader after months of looking for frames with an $800 budget. I think the Leader is a very good frame for a lot less money. The 722's look fantastic in person. Pics don't do them justice.
    Love this, a lot.

51cm(generally ride a 54cm, but the top tube is a bit longer on the 51cm leader than my 54cm swift), raw.

Schweet. Any plans as far as components you'll use yet?

Yep! S300 crankset, Technoglide headset, my Velocity A23/Novatec wheelset, and the fork, pedals, stem, handlebars, brakes, seat tube, etc from my Gravity Swift. I'm also planning on trying a Selle Italia Turbo saddle at some point, and definitely buying a better/lighter seat tube when I get around to it. Also plan on a different set of bullhorns, but again, not urgent. Once my frame arrives, I will be able to swap all of my parts on to it and ride.

Sounds like were going to have a set of raw twins!

Just out of curiosity, why aren't you using the cranks / bb from your swift? By the sounds of it, there won't be much left of it when you're done. You should consider keeping more components on the swift and slowly piecing together the 722, that way when you finish the leader you still have the rideable swift. I did this with my SE draft and am grateful I did, now I have a beater and a 'nice' bike.

For sure. Thats exactly why I got the 43s as well. I live in Michigan and roads are horrible, also why I left the 43 on back. And I'm a big fan of the thickslick as well, especially on the rear - my favorite tire I've used yet for durability and controlled skids.

I put a deep-v on the front with a Zaffiro kevlar bead and it reduced the weight a lot more than you would think. It's just about right now for all around use.

I'm honestly not sure yet what I'm gonna do with the Swift. The cranks/bb are nothing special, and something is bent(can see it in the chainring when spinning), so I didn't want to put them on a new frame, not knowing the quality or integrity of them. Unfortunately, I'm terribly impatient with the idea of piecing things together(as much sense as it makes). Fortunately though, none of the parts I'm robbing the Swift of require special tools to remove or install, so I'll likely keep the Swift frame and decide how I want what combination of parts. I may even just build the Swift back up slowly, then keep it or sell it whole. I'm not good at keeping things around that have similar functions - I always sell things I don't use regularly. Besides, the Swift rides super harsh and I have a feeling I'm going to fall in love with the 722 once it's built... I'm not 100% sure how the carbon fork is going to look on the 722, so I may end up swapping that around depending on how I feel about it. I appreciate the input!

Woke up at 8:00 to run to work to intercept my box of goodies from Retrogression. Got home and laid out the parts and started dismantling my Swift.

An hour or so of wrenching, plus an hour at my LBS getting the crown race swapped and fork cut, and I'm up and running. Very happy with this frame.

what headsets other than the FSA ZS3 fit on leader bikes? on my zs3 i see there the bearing cups that fit onto the frame; from a picture of an orbit X, is the rounded dome shaped lowest piece the bearing cup?

Any zero stack headset will work on Leader's aluminum frames. The Orbit X has standard external cups and will not. The 722TS takes a standard headset.

I've been waiting to see some really jackass Kagero builds too but none have surfaced yet. I might put pink veeps on mine just to satisfy the urge to see it.
