New member & new rider. I use to race BMX when I was a kid but I haven't been on a bike in probably 15 years. I recently purchased a used Leader 725 55cm Frame & Fork & Cranks off of a friend. I have been building it up slowly. I'm so glad I bought this bike. I'm hooked on cycling again & so far I have been riding every chance I can get. Only issue I have is this frame is a little too big for me. I'm only 5'8. Oh well.
Anyways here is a pic of my bike what do you guys think? Im still playing with seat height & seat angle. Trying to get it right & comfortable. Its been a battle....lol

The effective top tube length of my 51 cm Leader 725 is 3 cm longer than my 54 cm SS roadie project frame and I'm 5'8" as well, they are long and low. The max I would have gone at our heights would have been a 52 cm frame. I think if you use shallow/compact drops with your current stem it might bring your arms in at a more comfortable range. Too bad the fork has already been cut and slammed.

It's much easier dealing with a frame that's too small rather than one that is too big.

Yeah I plan on getting a new frame at some point in the future. For now it will have to do. But I agree I want a 51cm.

Well Leader is made in China. China does not honor copyright laws. This is what happens when company's outsource manufacturing to china and Taiwan. They run the risk of being cut out.

Sometimes there are scams, Other times an original product may get taken out of the factory illegally by its employees. Non the less it is best not to spend your hard earned money on something like this. We can assure everyone if this were real we would buy them all. It is below our cost to manufacture them.

IMHO, the worst part of that listing and others like on that site is that US underwriters & stock exchanges are fighting to be part of its parent co Alibaba's upcoming IPO, knowing well that they are a nest of counterfeit products & fraud...

Just thought I'd share that I finally got my hands on a 2014 Leader 725 frame. I'm really excited to slowly start building my bike.

Also, does anyone know if plasti-dip is safe to use on the matte black frame?

Yes it will be safe as the matte paint on there is meant to last and withstand everyday lock ups.

Their paint hardly lasts to daily locking, my matte black frame is soon to be white from all the chips it's received from locking up.

Oh, that was just an observation of mine from the ones locked up around here through the years.

Plastidip shouldn't hurt anyhow. And on the safe side, any chips or scratches can be sealed with nail polish to prevent the peeling of paint with the plastidip when you decide to remove it; with the polish being removed with acetone.

Yeah, I've never really dealt with Plastidip but just looked it up. If you have a fresh frame, I don't see any issues as long as you have a proper prep of the frame and don't eat hamburgers while doing it.

Mine is holding up just fine and I've had it for well over a year. It's got a lot of surface scratches on the stays and top tube from locking up but the only chip that revealed white primer underneath was a result of it falling over when it was leaned against an event stand.

I've always wanted a purple one and figured I'd snag one before they're all gone.

That purple is my favorite color. If their geo worked for me I would have purchased that frame. Looks great.

the purple frame looks sick all built up scrod.

Love the tire choice too, I had some that looked similar on my 721 when I first got it put together.
