You may have seen pics of pink Leaders but not of 2015 prototype frames (considering I have one of the only two in the US).

So does it require a special headset and fork with tapered steerer tube ?

Yup. Leader's new forks will be tapered and it will need this headset or something having similar specs.

So, does this change also apply to the new 725 and 721 ?

The 725, yes. The 721 is gone for 2015.

I like the seat clamp, not the tapered tube... seems to limit customization

How so? There are tons of forks with tapered steerers on the market and more to come in 2015.

And there is no issue running a non tapered fork in a tapered head tube...

With the right headset parts. Cane Creek makes a reducer kit.

It would end up looking wonky though.

Even if there is some sort of lower headset bearing adapter to permit this, the fork crown would be way too small and it would look totally goofy.

Probably in most cases. In sure there are a few that would be fine.

noticed the early Preorder thing on leader's website. Only see 735 and 725, I hope it doesn't mean they discontinued the 722 Heritage as well. I've been trying to google any leaked pics and no dice.

The Heritage will stay and I'm pretty sure it's already available in Japan (I recently saw a pic of a gold one built up by Brotures Leader's Facebook page).

However, the 721 is gone from the 2015 lineup.

Picked up a set of gumwall a while ago for two dollars and just put the front on to feel it out. Yay or nay?
