Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Gazzetta screws

I have a 2010 Gazzetta and the seattube is clean.
I now look at other Gazzettas online and see those two screws on the seattube.
Has something changed for the 2011 model?

it looks like you answered the question before you asked it...

yes, but why is there a water bottle mount on some and not on others?
Are there different models of the gazzetta?

apparently they have just added a water bottle mount to the 2011 frame, based on the info you have provided.

he is the OP, and it's a good thing he doesn't own the company. I think he was trying to make a statement of sorts with this thread, didn't work out so well.

giving the 2010 gazzetta to my little brother who is taller than me and will fit that frame correctly. I need a size smaller but really like the frame otherwise. if I order another one it'll have those mount screws on it, which I don't like. That's why I asked IF it had changed. I didn't state THAT it changed.
What's wrong with all you guys. Everybody in such a bad mood. Why even bother replying if it just makes you angry?!

i am not angry.

in this thread you held more information than we did. with the information given, we can only make the same assumption you can. water bottle bosses were added to newer frames.

bosses are not that big of a deal. unless you are track racing, the frame should have them. water is necessary when riding.

agree they're not a big deal, but I use my bike in the city and for commuting mostly. I have a small backpack to put my work clothes in and it has one of those hiking water thing in it already. so really don't need that. Just like the simple look of the 2010 better.
Oh well, I'll try to get a hold of a 2010 frame then. someone somewhere's got to have one for sale, new or used.

if i were in your situation i would want the bosses to hold a 15mm axle wrench at the very least.

I'm with vladuz976.. I mean, how could they ruin a frame like that? I'm disgusted on a deep level.

Then why don't you take this up with the makers of the frame rather than argue with us?

@thirdgenbird, I want one, I don't need one. That's the point.
@vw addict, I asked a question to make sure, then I stated my opinion like many people on forums do. Exchange ideas.
If you feel you're being personally attacked by me for cinelli having added water bottle bosses, I am sorry. I didn't mean it.

But still, what a moronic decision to add those to that frame.
who needs a water bottle on the commute to work. It's not like this is a bike you use for a 100km ride, which is when you would need it.
By their logic Ferrari and Porsche should start adding ski-racks by default to all their cars.
No one needs a sports car for work-commute, but many people want one. But I am sure they don't want the complimentary ski-rack pre-installed.
