Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

"The tempered steel also gives the wheels a natural softness where the faster one rides, the smoother it goes."

Personally, I'd like to see what the hell happens when one tries to take a corner with those wheels.

I stood around for a bit, there wasn't anybody hanging around and it wasn't in front of a cafe, store, etc.

Has to be bad lock up job. Unless there is something on the other end of the tree supporting the lock, the lock would be on the ground and below the bike. Someone must've been in a hurry, trusting that thieves won't look twice at their bike, or just a re-re.

Or maybe someone is trolling. Saw the lock on the ground, put his bike there for the purpose of making a "look at that dumb-ass" photo.

^If you're implying I set the shot up and am 'trolling', I understand that it looks too ridiculous to be true, I don't stage pictures and that's definitely not my bike.

Not saying you did it. I didn't know you actually took the shot. You could have found it online after someone else did it. I'm not trying to offend or anything, it's just something that popped into my head.
