Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Home Made Cyclocomputer

Stolen from CNET. (Warning, technical geek info ahead. If you dont do that sort of thing you wont be interested.)

(Before you post, "but wait, he could have bought one for like 30$." Thats not the point. He made his which is infinitely more impressive than any bike computer purchased.

interesting, I wonder how he decided to use the Lily Pad Arduino instead of some of the more compact versions like the Pico or Nano duino. A couple friends of mine have http://www.adafruit.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=330 and I am working with some one to make a rapid prototype-able case for it and one of the projects I would like to do with it is make a cyclocomputer. Good find.
