conversion to a singlespeed

so i just picked up this bike for $20 and i wanna convert it to a singlespeed with a flip-flop hub. i'm new to the world of road bikes and singlespeeds... anyone have any tips on conversion?

awesome. sheldon brown is great and i'll definately be using that... anyone have any words of wisdom from personal experience?

haha yeah, its it pretty sweet condition. it has a couple dings with some rust (probably was sitting in a garage for a long while before being brought to the thrift store) but other than that it's great. im stoked cause i've been wanting a road bike for ages but all my $$$ is tied up with more pressing commitments...
