*In all seriousness, I kept my speeds very low while hooked up as to keep the dolly from hitting my seatpost.

I started with the Fuji (white) but had to sell it because it wasn't the right size. Now I'm rocking the Kona as a daily.

So I just got my first flat on my new Kilo TT last night and was pretty pissed. It was from a pothole, and I've done my research on what kind of back tire can take a beating from pebbles and minor potholes in the city. Seem like Gatorskins people like the most and I've heard quite alot about them..

Would you guys recommend me going for a 700 X 25 size back tire instead of the 700 X 23?

i run 700x25 front and back on my bike i use for my daily commute. 700x23 feels too rough for me.

I have ridden 23c gatorskins and never had a flat in 800 miles or so. Now I have 32c Kendas and no flats there either.

I'm a supporter of going as large as you can. The extra air is a nice option

So heres my deal, one of these bikes will soon be posted as my new ride, I have the chance to buy 1 of these bikes brand new for half off!! (My brother works at a bike shop). Which should I get? I really would like some opinions! Thanks!!

2011 Schwinn Madison ($300)

OR...

2011 Masi Special Fixed (Drop) ($370)

I like both and I want your honest opinions. I like the masi a bit more, but am not a fan of the gold wheels. I think the paint on the madison is badass! Which would you choose?

I ride a 700x28 out here in NJ, the roads here are complete crap and its more rare to find smooth road than potholes. I LOVE them. They might look a bit less "sporty" but you bike a LOT faster knowing you can eat up potholes like its no big deal.

From a performance standpoint, I'd go with the Masi.

Component selection is roughly equivalent in either case (i.e. cheap but functional). However, the Masi has a threadless headset and drops/hoods for more hand positions...

Of course, the Madison is cheaper and sexier (arguably. dat sloping top tube...). You could easily Craigslist the stock Masi wheelset for ~$100 and buy a new set, if that's your thing.

dunno, it's kind of a tossup.
