That's the only way I could get mine comfy. Then I left it in the rain and it got all soft. So I tightened it up and sold it.

Really nice 722 btw.

heh, yeah. i debated long and hard. even if i strip and repaint the whole thing over the winter, i still think i made out.

i'm in a sad little town. we have exactly -one- Starbucks, that no one 'chills' at. i roast/grind my own, thanks very much.

i'll probably throw a black / red-wrapped mustache bar on it and head down the local micro-brew-pub and tarckstand while i finish a couple'o'pints.

i caught that. just keeping it going. no worries.

i've read nothing but hate for it online, only because of the color scheme, but everyone that i show the pic to locally thinks it slicker than ****. i'm undecided until i get it put together. serious about the mustache bars though....

Picked up some lightly used deep v's with origin 8 hubs with cartridge bearings in a partial trade for my Alex R450's. Just waiting on my bullhorns and debating whether to remove the brakes, or put on white brake pads so I stop putting black streaks all the way around my rims. Next: replace crankset and chainring because mine is not centered, resulting in uneven chain tension.

Kinda i have to use bar shims cuz my bars were too small for the stem so i tucked the tape under the shim and voila. And i messed with the seat for awhile and my boys prefer it like dat.

Those look like DP-18's to me, not V's. Just throwing that out there..

Interesting, and good to know. Is there any way to know for sure? There don't seem to be any markings on them at all.

The little ledge that separates the breaking surface from the rest of the sidewall is consistent with DP-18.

Ah, interesting. Are they bad rims? They seem to be quite a bit cheaper than Velocity wheels.

They're not "bad" rims, they're just a little heavier than Deep Vs and Weinmann's customer support isn't as good as Velocity's.

Good to know, thanks. I did notice that my bike is now a bit heavier than with the R450's. Suppose I'll upgrade to Velocity ones in the future, no real urgency though.

Bike is starting to look good. Some pursuits with a bit of drop and black tape and an all black or all white saddle and you'll have a fine looking steed.

Thanks. I've got the nashbar bullhorns(have some drop) already on the way,and I'm drying to get on an all black saddle. The one I'm riding is the women's version of the Bontrager SSR, which I purchased because I'm a little on the big side(5'10"ish, 235 pounds) and it was wider than the men's one, despite the men's being all black. The white is starting to look pretty grungy on it after only a couple weeks. Now I just need to focus on using my brakes as little as possible, or getting white pads so I don't streak black around my wheels all the time.

Minus being not-centered, have you had any problems with 'clicking' sounds coming form your BB?

Thats a Swift 2 right? I have the Swift (same BB/crankset) and I've been having a rattling/clicking recently. Usually under load.
