I love the ride of my Paddy wagon and can't help wondering is a decent carbon fork would be worth the $$$ as a ride feel improvement. Fork would be worth at least half the value of the bike currently.

Yep, I pretty much have the pinnacle of all paddywagons. FYI it's the carbon steerer version too.
Yes, a carbon fork is a great improvement to the stock fork that's very, very, heavy. It lightens up the ride and handling.
I mostly chose the components for durability considering I ride this 5 days a week to and from work in all weather. Here's something else, aside from the sugino 75, the entirety of the drivetrain is phil.

Mmmmm, food for thought.

This is mine, pretty much a stock bike with the exception of velocity wheels, durano 28's, post and saddle.
Will upgrade other stuff as it wears out. Really just bought this as cheap commuter/beater, but have ridden it exclusively since purchase.
never been a fan of tig welds and sloping top tubes on steel bikes, but after a good rap from a buddy and a test ride I gotta say it's a function over form win for me. The ride is really quite good. I'm slowly warming to it's ugly duckling looks. Might convert to drops in the new year.

I have an old BMX frame/parts that I've been meaning to do the same thing to. I was planning on just making a straight bar/platforms in place of pedals though. Those look fun as hell man.

winter ride... since I broke my CX bike...

garlatti gas pipe / columbus EL fork / ofmega super competizione cranks / record bits / deore dx pedals / 3ttt record + itm + 105 levers / santé front brake, universal rear

looking to change the whole front-end soon, use my other universale centerpull with a bigger clearance fork, but still high end columbus.

You're going to want to use the "" format, rather than html.
