Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The thing about those small fenders is that they shoot water up at other cyclists behind you. They also don't keep your feet very dry. You could always do what I did and makeshift some mudflaps out of milk jugs and zip-ties. They're not awesome but they help!

ha, statement retracted. i though it wasn't a kilo cause the downtube looked so thick. turns out it was just blending in with the pole thing behind it. damn my old monitor!

Damn I'm confused at all the responses from a photo of my bike I tend to take periodically but here's some answers

My bicycle is still alive. I ride it everyday

I've owned this bike for 2 years and honestly, the frame is spent. I'm moving all the components onto an eBay alu track frame.

The rear wheel is polished Rigida DP18 on Formula. Front is Shimano Ultegra bladed spoke sorta oem deal.

And the foxtail goes on my bag lol. For friendly daytime visibility

i've had my kilo longer but what do you mean "spent"? flexy?
you will like the aluminum if you're looking for something more rigid. it's not going to be any lighter though.

Yeah, like I've been looking for some new pedals, clips, and straps because I haven't been digging the stock ones on my kilo stripper. But yeah like I was just wondering if any brand of clips and straps could fit on any brand pedals. Cause like there is the process of screwing the clips on and putting on the straps and I dont know if it will fit properly on different kind of pedals and I don't want to buy a set of pedals and a set of cages and find out they don't fit together properly. Btw how are you liking your pedals and cages? Any suggestions on what I should look at? The ones on the pic look good

MKS GR-9 is comfortable, the MKS Sylvan tracks are good too but create some hotspots. Wellgo tracks are good too. MKS cages or soma double gates/Scrod's double gates will work fine.
