The overlap was still manageable, but recently I changed to All-city medium plastic clips which are 10mm longer than my previous clips and the overlap is more than just an annoyance now.

Here how much overlap I have now:

The clips his the machined braking surface of the rim.

This is the downtube clearance with a 23c tire:

I would rather not go back to the Soma medium cages, and shorter cranks is not really a viable option. I really would like to continue riding the frame and I assume a new fork would allow me to do this. How do I go about doing this, decreasing the toe overlap? The stock fork rake is 44mm and an axle-to-crown length of 345mm. Do I go for more rake and/or longer axle-to-crown length? Sorry for noobishness.
Are you sure its the frame and not the fork?If its the fork,I still have my stock Kilo fork(still wrapped in plastic)that I will give you for just postage.

Its black if thats OK?

Thinking of ordering the Charge Spoon and getting some MKS GR-9 Pedals as the first upgrades for my Kilo TT. Can anyone vouch for these upgrades or are these upgrades so insignificant that I should just save a little more money and get something else?

I'm also looking for new tire suggestions because mine are starting to wear out a little.

I just bought the MKS GR-9 and I seriously couldn't be happier. They have a platform so it doesn't dig into soles of shoes. I also got mks toe clips and straps and they work great. On the charge idk but they are highly regarded on here. I have been looking for a new saddle too, its def. not something you want to rush or go cheap on though.

The Charge Spoon is a really comfortable, durable saddle for the money.

does the kilo tt come with a shimmed 1 1/8th stem or a true 1in stem?

if it is an honest 1in stem dos anyone know where i can find one? i would like to get a decent silver stem without shimming (yes, i know shimming works fine)

Seriously. Stop "hunting" and just buy a stem and a shim.

all i have is a frame, seatpost, fork, and headset. it is a geared bike that is a long ways away from completion. the stem is not holding anything up. i like you srod but why do you care?

ive actually got a black 1in stem but the clamp is not carbon friendly. ive also got 3-4 shims laying around but i would rather have one that just fits. i dont think a kilo take off stem is going to be i financial burden...

Are you looking for a Kilo stem to use on another bike?

yes. i want a silver stem made for a 1in steerer and 25.4 bars

the one i have is black and the clamp is designed in a way that would point load the carbon steerer.

i know i could use a shimmed stem but i have months before the bike will be built and i have not researched the effects of a shim on a carbon steerer. if it was a steel or alloy steerer i would just use what i have.

the only readily available 1in stems ive located dont fit my criteria:
kelly- clamp not compatible with carbon and made for 26mm bars
alter- expensive and 26mm bars
big one- black and 26mm bars

is there something wrong with a kilo stem? is the steerer clamp asymmetric?

I'm just saying that good 1" threadless stems are pretty difficult to find, while there are a zillion 1 1/8" options readily available.

correct, but ive got plenty of time. i havent even decided what the drivetrain will consist of (1-3 rings up front and 8 or 10 in back)

ive got headsets, spacers, and a fork laying around from when nearly all good road bikes were 1in threadless. it is not so much that the stems are hard to find, it is the fact that nearly all of them have clamps that are unsafe for carbon steerers that were rare at the time. the ITM big one has an appropriate asymmetric clamp but that is about it. do you have any info on the "kilo stem" in this regard?

if the bike gets far enough that the stem is my holdup i will just use one of the shims ive got.
