My roommate bought a complete bike off Craigslist but decided on using a different wheelset.. I ended up buying the B43/Aerospoke off him for ~160. The B43 is great but I may end up selling the Aerospoke, I'm not really sure if I like it or not. It's a lot heavier than I anticipated.

My kilo developed a noisy crank set, I cleaned it up and re tightened. Anyone know if this will be a direct replacement?

Chances are that I'm just being dumb, or could change something up (stem length, seatpost height) but I have suspicions that I bought the wrong size Kilo. I have a 47, but am starting to think I'd be better off with a 50. Could anyone confirm/deny?

The 50cm Kilo has a 523mm top tube, though. Seat tube is 50cm center to center.

I used to ride a 50cm Kilo, before I got doored and the frame got bent. I'm 5'5" and proportioned pretty evenly. The 50cm fit me perfectly. I ran a 90mm stem, but recently realized I could've easily ran a 110 or longer. I currently run a 110 on my Langster, which has a 6mm longer top tube and the same head and seat tube angles.

So because of the top-tube, the 47 was the right choice?

If you want to base your choice on the measurements from the fit calculator used, yes. For many, top tube and head tube measurements are more critical than seat tube. Then again, an 8mm difference in top tube length can be negligible for most, I would think; I can't feel the difference of 6mm between the Kilo I used to ride and my current Langster. It may come down to aesthetics. The 50 has a level top tube and the 47 slopes back very slightly. Also, running a longer stem looks more bad ass than running a short stem; something you may want to consider. Your seat tube range indicates your definitely tall enough for the 50. Do you have any friends with a Kilo in a 50 that you can try out? What's most important is how you feel on it when riding it. If the 47 feels too small, the 50 may be your better choice.

For reference, this is how my Kilo was set up. Again I'm 5'5" with an even proportion between my torso and legs, and I don't have long arms.

I appreciate the help. None of my friends have a 50cm Kilo, but I'll look into buying one off Bike Island for 200, or maybe just go with a different frame altogether.

Hey, what do you guys think of this Kilo TT?



It's selling for $500 in my area. Here are the component upgrades the guy says he's made:

- Miché Pista Crank, chrome with matte black accents
- Sellé San Marco Concord Leather Saddle
- 2 ALEXS rims on this bike, double walled with white tires
- The chain is really nice and can be removed with a screwdriver instead of needing a chain tool
- All City pedals ($40.00) with leather toe strap on left side

What do you guys think? Good deal? I would probably take it to my LBS and get it sized, toe straps on both sides, rear and front brakes, and bullhorn handlebars, so I'd put a little extra money into it. My other option is to get a new Wabi Classic, which would probably come out to like $775.
