I couldn't see a shop charging more than 20 dollars to thread a fork, and a headset could be had for like 20 bucks. Go for it!

What, really? I only briefly looked into it cause it seemed way expensive but maybe I am looking in the wrong places...

did anyone mention those bar-end red flashy lights that point out to rear on dealextreme? (im looking at cc)
if not, i ordered a pair to test and they're a pretty good concept and position, see above. they're kinda pretty useful.

Call around and find one.

Extending existing threads is one thing, threading from scratch is an entirely different animal and most shops won't even do it.

Do you guys have paint chipping issues with the bike as well?

Looking at the green bike above it seems so. Other then that, the bikes been perfect!

I noticed a lot of paint chipping similar to the green bike above on a 2003-ish KHS Flite 100 that I have (same frame as Kilo TT). The 2010 Kilo TT my GF has doesn't have any paint chipping issues other than the obligatory stuff around the track ends.

i treated that bike like a newborn baby when i first got it and it still chipped pretty badly. then i stopped caring and now it's chipped everywhere. fragile paint but its an '08 kilo so maybe they've changed it up since then.

i also touched it up in white so it looks a little worse than it is.

I have a 2011 kilo tt so I guess they still haven't changed it up.

That's weird. You guys must be locking real hard, or my GF is locking really gently. Other than the track ends, there are some scrapes but not chips like in the above pictures.

Question for you guys. Will this bike and frame support a bigger guy? I'm 6'1" ~260 lbs. Do you guys think there would be an issue?

definitely made much beefier than the Kilo, but the kilo should support you. I'd recommend the Schwinn Madison though if your just looking for a good steel bike.

Click for larger images. And yes, my bike is magical and can balance on its own.

Someday I'll get a fancy camera.

edit: oh yeah, and "no drive side photo" = suck it, I forgot
