I ended up buying a Schwinn Cutter for $150, how would you guys compare that to a Kilo? I think the Cutter is a nice smooth ride. Are the two similar in anyway? Different? Thanks alot!

I know the frame "sizes" are a little different on the Kilo since they measure C-C. But can anyone tell me why the Top Tubes are so much shorter than the C-T measurement of the seat tube? I'm looking to get my first bike, and from looking around at a lot of them, it seems like most of them have a TT at pretty much the same length as the seat tube.
I'm looking at the 55 Kilo, which is 58cm C-T, but the top tube is only 56. What kind of affect would this have on riding comfort, position of the sadle, handle bars, etc?
From taking my measurements, I get a recommended TT length of 58-60, but to get there on the Kilo I would have a 60-63 C-T which seems a little high to me.
Hope that makes sense, and isn't too vague.

C-T is a completely worthless measurement. Make sure that your own measurements are correct, and buy according to TT length.

You would probably be fine with either a 60cm or a 57cm. Do you have a bike right now that you could measure to gauge the correct size? I think that comfort levels on a previous bike are a much better indicator of size than some numbers plugged into a calculator.

No, this will be my first bike, and there hasn't been much selection of FGSS bikes around where I live to try out.
I ended up getting the 57 Kilo TT. It's 60cm C-T with a 57.5 TT

I apologize for a figment suggestion but this is my first road style bicycle. I used the fitment calculator and was under the impression a 53 cm would fit well and not leave the saddle bottomed out. Just prior to ordering the Kilo Stripper I sent BD an email with the fitment calculator results and they recommended I purchase the 50 cm. If anyone can chime in with their opinion on fitment I'd greatly appreciate it!

I appreciate it! I was under the impression I should pay attention to the seat tube c-c and top tube length numbers in the fit guide, so I was concerned that they recommended the 50cm. The last thing I want is to have to deal with an exchange over improper fitment. Thanks!

Your cog is slipping.
Also, there is not only a dedicated thread about bike fit but also an entire sub-forum.

Fresh Garbage
I moved the bike fit thread back onto the front page. Let's see what happens. Feel free to report bike fit posts and I will merge them into it.
