Had a Surly Cross Check - was totaled in recent accident. Sadly now just a Fuji Crosstown as a backup bike.

Anyone know where I can buy a rear wheel ready to go that has a 3-5 speed internal?

My son has a track bike he loves. We do light tours on it, but the 'no gear thing' is getting him down. Anyone know where I can buy a rear wheel laced with a SA or SRAM internal geared hub for the bike that is ready to go, as in put the tire on and mount it? We'd like a 3 or 5 speed. He does not run fixed, but rather single speed now. We'd have to buy online, live remotely.

    TIA!

I heard if you dont like it, fixed... you can spin on a freewheel . Oooo...

There is also a kick-back 2 speed ( with or without coaster brake ) just another option for hills/touring...

Velo orange has pre-built 700c wheels with 3 speed sturmey archer hubs. They're spaced at 116mm. So you can use washers to get to 120mm rear track spacing.
