Good 700x23-25 tire?

I just put 28c Randonneurs on my bike (switched from 23s), but theres not really enough clearance for the front brake. Does anyone know any puncture resistant tires that come in a smaller size?

Not for skidding, but a damn good tire is the Vredestein Fortezza.

Seems out of stock at biketires direct, which is where I bought them, but a few others have them.
https://www.biketiresdirect.com/produ...stein-fortezza
https://www.bikebling.com/ProductDeta...a-Road-folding
https://www.amazon.com/VREDESTEIN-For.../dp/B002FMDTQI
https://calhouncycle.com/productcart/...6&idcategory=0

but... even having never ridden them, I migh try the Conti 3000/4000's people rave about. (damn they are $$$ though)

Panaracer RiBmo. Fairly cheap and tough, really tough

GP4000s are great but they wear out fairly fast. Seeing Krylion Carbons for $30 on google makes me curious

For $50/tire there are a lot of good options out there but not these.

Yeah, that was my experience. I wore out the front tire in under a year, something I've never done. Still, they felt great

I was curious about Krylions at first but now I love them. It's a good high mileage, training tires. YMMV.

I'm going to try out Lithion 2 when my Krylions are totally shot, hope they are just great.

Halo Twin Rail: great street durability and occasional light off-road, dangerous as hell in the rain (sprained wrist to prove).

Specialized Armadillos are practically indestructible but super heavy. Good for touring bikes though.

You keep saying this, but I do not think they are bad tires. And the sidewalls are thicker than pretty much any racing oriented tire I've ever used or seen. You can also get them for way less than 50 dollars.

I just recently got a Vittoria Rubino Pro 3 and have been loving it. It has a nice 150 tpi, 145 max psi, supple, sticky rubber, and under 250g for those weight weenies who care.
It doesn't hold up to skidding very well, but I only do that in emergencies these days which isn't very often.

+1 on the krylions they're solid high mileage tires

I've been on vredstein fortezza tricomps lately, they're wearing great so far, haven't flatted yet, and a buttery smooth ride, almost as good as my GP4000 tubulars.
