Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I recently moved from Chicago to Shreveport, Louisiana. Missing the city life, so I took some time for a bike ride around our small downtown.

First, the obligatory shot that anyone taking pictures of downtown Shreveport has to take:

From then on, just a lot of vacant buildings:

Quick tidbit - I paid $800 for a 640x480 resolution digital camera with 4mb of internal memory back in 1995 (Casio Qv100). So, yeah, I'm into photography and camera gear and every once in a while somebody pays for a print of mine. I have a ton of equipment, but actually prefer my old film cameras (Nikon N90 and Hasselbald 500c) and rarely shoot digital...

Here is my dirt cheap SE Draft

Some cool flicks in here!

Can anyone recommend a good digital photography forum? Somewhere I can see some good photography, pick up some tips, maybe read reviews, etc.

Best gear reviews I've come across on the web: https://www.dpreview.com/

Most other sites simply rave on and on about a camera. DP Review seems to be even-handed and frank in their evaluations. Very deep reviews, too.
