3-speed fixed hub shifting options?

I am starting to put together a future build in my head. I have a few things in mind, but one thing I am interested in is the 3 speed fixed hubs.

I test rode a Swobo with one, and I have to say it is quite nice to be able to shift with no effort and at a stop...but I greatly dislike the grip twist shifters...

Is there any other shifting option for these hubs? bar end shifters for a bullhorn perhaps?

Edit: I just answered my own question... Bikesdirect Kilo S3X has a bar end shifter:

So disregard my question and then I will ask:

how does the 3 speed fixed gear feel?

Kilo S3X has bar end shifters.

oof Why do they present that bike with the saddle slammed all the way forward?

This old thread suggests there are issues with this hub, so I'd avoid it.

Anyways, the whole appeal of an FG to me is its simplicity, and this just adds unnecessary complexity. If you really have to change gears when riding a FG, then you either live someplace too hilly to be suitable for a FG or you are a wimp.

Hey, thanks for that link, I'm gonna read through that one thoroughly, but when it comes to wanting a 3 speed, I agree...simplicity or hilly are the only reasons... But I am looking at building up a bike that would be good for a friend to ride around when they hang out, something that is easy to ride, has the 3 speed for variability, and perhaps get a trailer for it...but who knows. These are all thoughts in my head.

I thought about getting one of those Kilo's with the internal geared hub. But I decided against it because I want to have the option of riding either fixed or freewheel.

Also, I really dig the simplicity of SS/fixed gear. I love that I have to just HTFU and get over hills instead of spinning up in the granny gear. It's a great anaerobic workout.

I've got the S3X on my one-way Tikit... there's not really "issues" so much as you have to get used to the fact that there's a bit of play in the drivetrain... just takes a little getting used too...

Thing is I don't want to have "a bit of play" that "takes a little getting used to" any more than I want an overly loose chain. Those whole beauty of a FG drivetrain is that it is very direct and instantly responds to changes in direction of pedalling with feedback to your legs when traction conditions change. A sloppy FG drivetrain is a crappy FG drivetrain.
