Resting before a 4 a.m. metric. Going on vacation in 24 hours so my nerves are on fire. Want to be done with work and on the rode to Austin. Now.

Another rider I met through a local commuter group (SF2G) gave it to me in exchange for a 6-pack. So not exactly free

I really love the cycling community in SF / Bay Area.

Not true. Chicago saw it, though I personally did not.

Today I worked and drank good beer. I have the next two days off and I intend to spend them both in the saddle.

Today I was up early and we went on a 25km bomb through the river valley, hung out at the co-op for a bit, had a beer and a nap, did some shopping and then went out and saw Dictator with a friend who had some free passes.

Yesterday, I hosted my son's angry-birds themed eighth birthday party. We had a four-foot tall slingshot and afterwords an all-out no-hold-barred half-hour game of calvinball with 6 autism spectrum disorder and/or adhd kids trying to tag the green pig (me) with angry birds that varied from rubber playground balls with birds faces painted on to water balloons. Good time.

Yesterday, I sprayed a carpenter bee nesting hole on my patio and watched a body fall out.

Today, I watched another one fly in. Not happy.

That sounds awesome. My kid brother is in the spectrum too, people severely underestimate those kids. ****ing geniuses if you ask me

Yeah, they are funny though. One of them got into my son's room and proceeded to dismantle all of his lego starwars ships and sort the pieces by size. I guess that is just another chance for my son to put them back together.

Today I had the day off because our office closed due to the NATO summit and protests. So I did this.

Only 35ish miles, but was a lovely, lovely Monday. Much better than being in the office.

Has anyone used the IOS version of BF? I can't imagine that it's any good but if it is I'll check it out.

It's better than trying to navigate this site on a tiny mobile device screen, but that's not saying much. It took a while to figure out how to get to the SSFG forum, and you can't bookmark it so you automagically go there, as far as I can tell. Otherwise, it's okayish.

Thanks to the fact that the main page gives you the most recently updated threads, forum-wide, I did find out that somewhere there is a thread that is nothing but *****ing about hipsters. At which I just roll my eyes because come on, really?
