Was getting dark, but not horrible. *Me looking at the clouds...haha

Within 10 minutes, the skies grew dark green, the wind died, and the air stood still. Then, tornado sirens and lighting / thunder started up. We rode to a random house and knocked on their door. They put our bikes in their garage and took us into the basement. Weather channel had a tornado on the ground within 10 miles of where we were. At this point, we were 16 miles into our ride, and about 9 miles northeast of my home. Big thanks to the family who took us in. They ened up being real cool! Called up my roommate when things cooled down and he picked us up and drove us home.

My friend Jeff Smith snapped this photo as the storm started rolling in. It got pretty wild.

That must have been intense. Today I had an extremely hilly road ride.

Finally cut the steerer tube on my new fork... tomorrow I need to have the LBS swap the crown race over and also borrow my bf's wrench (yeah I don't own one, wtf) AND THEN IT WILL FINALLY BE COMPLETE. I hate the purple bar tape I bought but I'm also too cheap to replace it until I have to.

Do you own a tap and die set? you may be able to rethread it. might have to use an oddball bolt though.

IIRC, the ground is already covered in snow over there from some of the posts I saw on FB earlier.

I dont think there is enough material. I wish the threaded parts in the shoe were replaceable like they are with SPDs

You can get replacements.

If you take the insole out of your shoe, you'll see that the aluminum threaded thingy can be pried out from the inside of the shoe using a knife or screwdriver. Nicer bike shops will have replacements. Just press the new replacement in and you are good to go. Should cost $1-2.

Today I found out if I wasn't so lazy in high school and actually tried on the 5 AP exams I took, I could have graduated a semester early with a major and a minor.

Today I put my bike into rain mode: took off track drops, put on wide roadie bars with levers, put on fenders, brakes, slammed stem for maximum aerointothefreakingwindandraindynamics.

Also started looking for a cheep motorcycle. Sometimes I hate riding my bike.

Raine there today too. In high school bike racks I saw a Guerciotti with full campy some kid rid to school, then left in the rain for 7 hours.

Mad jelly.
