Thanks, the difference between 5k and 8k altitude is pretty significant. I didn't expect to be gasping for air. Beautiful ride though.

Just tell him to go fist himself. You'll get the price you're looking for.

It's hard enough to sell actual bike stuff that people recognize here
once he came back at me with the 200, I said 220 with the extras, take it or leave it, I'm not going to sell it just to sell it.
I actually really like this frame, I'll probably just throw my 722 stuff on it and enjoy it while I take my time if he bails over $20

...found out my good friend is no longer managing the local bike shop. With that said, I now have zero reason to hand these thieves another dime.
So now I have a dilemma, I'm saving up the last few hundred dollars for my All City Macho Man and have to figure out how the hell I'm going to buy it without a LBS I'm willing to hand money to.
Do I go the build route (again) or try to get an online vendor who likes me to order the complete for me. I'm looking at you Scrod. Is there any contractual reason why you couldn't? I know Surly has a deal where I'd have to hand money to my worst enemy as long as he was the regional Surly commander or some ****.

Still kicking.
Today was a good session at the pumptrack, the reworked stuff is silly smooth, followed by some throwing around of the mtb on the pavement.
Such a good way to get used to the new handlebars.

Today I went for a short ride to the store, turns out they do not have bike racks at the big NEX here, so I just locked up to a pole. Then, everyone gave me funny looks from all my clicking and clacking through the store. Afterwards, I was outside having a smoke, discovered I have a dent on my downtube. I have no idea how or when it happened, but it is a relatively small dent.
Also, sometimes, I really hate base policy. Police told me I have to wear a safety belt at night, as well as a brightly colored shirt during the day, for visibility. I have never seen anyone wear either. I had lights on my bike. I usually wear my Metro or Ortlieb, which are both bright yellow, but I wasn't doing any major carrying today, so I didn't bring it. Guy told me I had to walk my bike to my destination from the gate. **** that, I walked around the corner, hopped on my bike, and continued about my way. Ugh, so dumb sometimes.

Coffee... all over my keyboard. Thanks, jerk.
Today I (ok yesterday): experienced a 5.7 magnitude earthquake while in my hotel room... on the 47th floor. I decided to take a picture of how I felt about it, not 5 minutes after:
Zero ****s were given.

visited the three bike shops in town.
not one had bike stuff out yet. still blowing out ski/snowboard stuff.
um....yes, it's March, but it's also consistently in the 50's.
(on a side note: went to the shop that caters to high end roadies, told them i was commuting by bike, got laughed at..... :/ )
