Today I ... started a rather lengthy process of putting away money so I can move in the next year or two.. hopefully to a place that's more bicycle friendly, among other "important" things..

Bought the most dangerous bike I've ever owned for $50.

Nice knowing you all.

Angle grinders are cheap, effective and there is a lot to be said for recycling metal

Yeah I'm hoping it's a helmet-head-proof cut too. Not a garlic necklace (lol), a lei.

Thanks. Took me a while to get used to having short hair after I shaved it last year, but now i love it.

Today I have my first showing of my house since it's been on the market (since Monday). Cleaning cleaning cleaning and strangely nervous.

Today the $12 kmc d101 ebay chain came in. Even with my wheel slammed in the drop outs its to short for my ratio (48x16). Just barely to maybe a half link would work. would i have any problems doing that?

That's why I didn't order one.

96 links? My 710SL was 114, and I didn't remember cutting 20 links off...

I quickly read the listing at work and bought it without reading it twice. I bought it thinking it was only missing the manual box and master link only.

Today I packed up and came home from school, unloaded the van, and then immediately put on a kit and hammered out 40 miles in the wind. Haven't unpacked a single bag or box yet. And the best part was when I pulled up in the driveway to the smell of tacos for dinner. Hella rad.

Had a conversation with my dad on the way home, too, about what we wear while riding. He asked if I wear anything under my bibs, and when I said no, he got all weirded out. Any of you guys have an under-bib/short garment?

Did 30ish miles, ran into a group of folks riding in support of bike lanes on the way home so I tagged along on my way to the grocery store. Beer currently cooling in fridge.

Base layers for the upper body when it's cold out is ok.

Today I had my best road ride in awhile.

Actually I wear a base layer when it's hot. It keeps you a bit cooler.
