vintage lugged colnago? need advice and info

I have an opportunity to trade my affinity marta for a colnago. Unfortunately the seller doesn't know much about his bike, and neither do I.

Do you think its a fair trade? The only "******" items I really have on my build is the specialized, trispoke, rear chub hub, supercorsa saddle, and the rb021.

Also, please id this colnago frame...rear spacing info would be nice.

And my current bike that I might trade:

Is it worth the trade financially?

It looks like the Colnago has been in a front end collision.

As to authenticity, it doesn't look like any Colnago I've ever seen, and it's pretty easy to get a set of Colnago decals and slap them on. You might get a better assessment if you post this in the C&V forum.

Yeah if anyone can chime in that would be awesome. Don't want a fake colnago, but nevertheless, it has very interesting geometry. Pretty unique

If someone would want to trade a Colnago for your (no offense) bike I would question something about it.

also looks like it has the wrong size seatpost in it right now.

No offense taken. But deal sounds good! Honestly, I think the guy just likes bikes but not really too familiar and just cash to unload.

So what do you think it might be? Regardless, the lugwork is beautiful.

Look at the bottom bracket shell, the fork crown, tops of the seat stays, lugs--do any of them have the Colagno logo cut into them? If not, I'd really start to doubt its authenticity.

Also, inspect where the top tube joins the head tube very carefully--looks like it may have a slight bend, which would indicate a front-end collision. Have a reputable shop inspect the frame to make sure it's safe before making a decision, Colagno or not.

Look at the track ends too, someone did a horrendous job of welding those things on. They are tweeked upwards badly. Stay away from this bike.

That bike looks dumb, even if it is a real Colnago. I'd stay away for all of the reasons above.

It is like trading a 2010 Jaguar for a 1975 MGB with Ferrari logos and a bent frame.

Possibly real, but with a bent frame, it is worthless IMO.

The more I look at this, the more I'm convinced that it's not a colnago. Just did some research on this and the only bikes I found that had a rear triangle like that had pursuit or TT geometry. The "colnago" pictured doesn't have either.

Ianjk's pic does prove it, look at the ends of the seatstays where they meet the seat tube, notice how the true colnago has the flattened out part and is more vertical than the fake one?
