weird/awesome trek t1 situation

tldr: is a brand new Trek T1 for $375 a really good deal?

I was riding home from work on my iro when a guy yelled at me to pull over, saying he had a deal for me. I pulled over, and he opens his car and I see a T1. He says that he wants to get rid of a bike that he just won, and before he can tell em what it is, I say what it is. he won it at a festival at the velodrome this past weekend that I was at. He rides bmx and is getting married, so he just wants to sell it. He said he really wanted to give it to somebody local, and when he saw me riding fixed down a busy street he felt like I would be a cool guy to sell it to. The bike shop that sponsored the event will exchange sizes and fit me(I just checked with them to make sure). I've been wanting to get a bike with more track geometry... opinions???

TL;DR: Good deal.

But it seems so sketchy/fishy to me...

I was at the event and saw the bike being raffled off, and I called the bike shop(where friends of mine work) and they confirmed it.

Hmm.... I'll have to try that way of selling.

I have a Vuelta Pista crankset to sell and there's this cute girl that rides by everyday.

I'll have to stop her and tell her i've got a crank that'll rock her world.

I was thinking "stolenstolenstolenstolenstolen," when I saw that the bike shop confirmed it, my jaw dropped. Thats crazy. At the very least, buy it and resell it for more.

Did it!
Its the black one. I'll have to borrow a camera to show it off. I want to ride it really hard, but its a 56 and I am gonna switch it out for a 58, so I dont want to put any wear on it. I really really want to though.

It was my only bike, and I have been wanting to get more into track racing. Theres a velodrome about 10min from my place and I go occasionally.

So I went to the lbs today to exchange for a larger size after 2 employees confirmed that it was all fine and dandy. I start talking to the manager about it and he straight up tells me no. He was kindof a dick about it, giving no explanation and basically trying to push me out of the store it felt like. I must have caught him at a bad time because usually everyone is really cool at this lbs. I was pretty pissed off. Thats the lbs that I bring most of my business to and refer friends to. No more.

I can still sell the bike on cl for a profit though. Already got some offers. I really wanted it for myself though.

It's only one size different, check out how you fit on it before selling.

To bad it isn't your size. I'v thought about buying a T1 before, just the frame though. It seems like a pretty good bike for the price.
