Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Noob Here few questions.

Hey guys,

New to the whole bike scene, so that means i know nothing at all. I was wondering, where would be a good place to start to learn about SS/FG bikes. Also any good brands out there for around $300 USD that you guys might know of? I came across this site that sells Micargis, look pretty nice but dont know if they are good. I did a search on here for the brand but nothing came up with SS/FG so i was wondering if you guys think think this is a good brand. The site is http://www.bikebuyers.com/fixiebikes...FcsZQgodFxZCCw .

Iv looked through Craigs list and found http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst...324498887.html . Iv seen Giant posted here before, but is this a good one?

or what about these

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lgb...337778061.html

http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...337325003.html .

Thanks in advance.

The TT is a good starting bike, I own one and I really enjoy riding it. You want a solid frame at this point, something worth upgrading parts on in the future, and the TT is definitely a good choice for that.

Hey i was wondering...how much of a difference is the Kilo TT to the Motobecane Track? should i save the extra couple of bucks and get the Kilo? Honestly if i get the Motobecane Track in about 4 months i can get a better one. So would it be worth it to get the Kilo or just get the Moto? Sorry for the double post just wanted to get an answer.
