What size tire do you like?
Just curious on what most of you guys like. I wanted a little bigger tire and ended up with much bigger, still up in the air on how much I like it. Was running 700 x 23, went to get something bigger and all LBS had was 700 x 35, deffinitely smoother but feels heavier, wanted 700 x 28.

I like those Panaracer 26mm tires cuz they're the biggest that fit in my bike. 25s are a close second.

I like the speed of the 23s but the 35s felt nice on the little 6 mile ride to work, hopefully get to put more miles on it tomorrow when off work.

does it feel harder to push your gear ratio with the 35s?
they are great for commuting, and the roads around here are in poor shape

Used to rock 23 front, 28 back, currently rocking 28 on both because it's easier on my fragile, broken body.

It seemed a little harder to push, but also running on very little sleep and food so might be more the engine than the tires feeling heavy. Deffinately feel smoother on my rough roads.

If I ran 23s I'd be at 64.9 GI, currently at 67.1 GI. Not sure how much you would notice that difference, perhaps slightly.

23s for racing, 28s for everyday riding. I also have a wheelset setup 23 front/25 rear which is nice for going fast and still being a little more comfortable.
IMO, unless your roads really suck or you're touring or something anything bigger than 28 is overkill. The loss in speed outweighs the gain in comfort.
I also weigh 135lb, so I don't mind the skinny tires so much.

This for me, I started on 25c's, got a deal on 23's they destroy'd me but thankfully they didn't last, switched to Rando 28c's and have been very happy with them

23c-25c for city riding. I'm like 140lbs. I find individual tires make a difference too. My 23c Fyxations are more comfortable than my 25c Panaracer Duro PTs were.

I am at 71.3 GI now with 35s, 42/16 sprockets, shouldn't be to bad, mostly flat roads, mite just be a weak day, lol.

I carry a load, so it's harder for me to avoid rough roads and debris by getting light or popping up the rear end of the bike. Since most of a rider's weight is carried by the rear tire, it also makes sense to go bigger on the rear for greater comfort (if that's what you're into).
