Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Help! Emergency Repair Needed!

Hello

One of my cage straps has given up. after 25+ years! I need the bike to go to work tomorrow Monday.

Could anyone suggest any quick repair?

Thanks!

I've ridden for 25 years with cages no straps. So I guess I'm one up on ya.

Thanks for the Ideas. I ended up using 8mm plastic tie.

The straps I can only imagine to be original, you can tell on the leather that is old.
