How does one know whether or not it's the defected version or not? does anyone have a picture of the crimped chainstay?

Just got my 61 and it has the crimped chainstay, but the headtube was damaged and it looks like it was opened. Back to Nashbar I guess....

The chainstay is either crimped or not crimped what dont you understand?

I have this problem on my windsor the hour thats a rebranded fuji track classic, And i cant fit anything more then a 50 on my bike, I have a 48, and the back of the crank arms and chainrings hit the paint on my frame. But, The problem is also becuase i have 103mm spindles, If i had 106 i can most likely fit a 54 chainring. But my chainline would be off.

UPDATE: I had my family friend check up on our house and had him unpack the frame; I got a crimped one. Size 52. Now that I see that it's restocked I wish I went for a 54... =/

if i get an uncrimped frame i'll scream.

it's the spider arm/crank clearance i care about not so much the ring clearance. i'll be happy to use a 44/13.

also, what do you mean headtube damage atx? leuky, what size to you normally ride?

Please keep the deal making in PMs. If you don't have enough posts to PM yet, that's too damn bad.

It happens. Something gets lost in translation between the design team and the factory and a whole run of flawed frames is dumped on the market. The Leader 725TR V1 is a perfect example of this.

I think it's the factory that Fuji order from messed up, Fuji received the and bikes knowingly sold the flawed frames to whomever City Ground or Nashbar distributer is for a lower price, hence the much lower than MSRP price. This is just my guess though.

yeah when they realized it wouldn't clear most cranks they just switched production and cleared the frames out as frame sets. also, it worked just fine with the carbon cranks that were shipped on the completes because those have a very narrow crank arm.
