maybe someone can clarify this for me. Just bought an ftp, and with all the discussion about crimped/non-crimped chainstays, I haven't seen what a non crimped would look like in comparison.

Thanks!
This has already been addressed as you can see. Ill let you find the answer on your own

I saw that already, d00d. Thx for ur non-help.

No one has posted a good picture of what the crimped version looks like versus the non-crimped version. I expected something much more dramatic than what exists on my frame, so I was hoping for some confirmation.

U lucky guys who got the crimped stays
I think they said that since it's listed on their site, so it's not their problem which version you receive. I know they have both crimped and non-crimped. Mine's coming in tomorrow, so I'll post an update. Good luck everyone

Wow that is too close for comfort.

On my frame, though, you can see a large indent in the chain stay where the "J" in FUJI is.

Yup!

Crank clearance is still a problem tho; I plan on throwing on one of my numerous pairs of 75's on mine nonetheless.

Even with that gigantic indent by the "J"?

Also, I will take one of your numerous pairs of 75s for free, kthxbai.

That's for the crank arm; so you don't get what plowman is getting. Obviously a later revision to address what plowman is experiencing. And no they're all mine! Unless I come across a absolutely putrid, god forsaken, colored pair and give it to you as a sign of what I think of you sexy.

Oh, I was wondering if for some reason it would still be a problem with the big indent.

Might just do SRAM S300 Couriers for this build.

No need; there's space aplenty for even omnomnomnoms.

There seems to have been 2 different revisions. Each addressing these problems. I think you have the 1st revision that addressed chain ring clearance but not crank arm clearance. And the one yummy has is the later 2nd revision that addressed both.

i probably won't be getting omniums unfortunately, i don't like how tight that clearance is. am i safe to assume that most any other 165mm crank arm will fit with more clearance?

I don't think the 200 dollars going into this frame was worth it.

i'm going to try to just add some tiny spacers to make the omniums work. once i get all the parts for this frame, i'm sure it's going to be well worth it. i'm really curious to compare the ride to my vigorelli.
