shoulders are TIGHT! did a quick town loop and man do i love this bike. it's so smooth with its power transfer and so stable and stiff. it feels really planted, but i am sure that's just the brisbane's talking.
I will say, the I05tr fork is really really nice for the road. It's got sh**apple**cktons of tire clearance and looks like it would fit a regular brake. it's nicely shaped for both traditional and newer frames with a nice even taper and slope to the blades. as long as you have an integrated headset, it will sit fairly flush... though it's actually got a wider crown than my ht by a millimeter or two.
then again, so does my ritchey carbon integrated hs topcap... so maybe the ftp head tube is just low profile.
the fork is very smooth in neutralizing chatter but really lets you cut aggressively when you need to. it's really not that heavy without 30cm of steerer, and you only need a third of the steerer on most ftps.
the 12k weave looks brilliant in the sunlight. I like the finish a lot, it's not too glossy but it's not crazy marbled.
as for the bike... well... the outboard bb cranks are flex proof and so is the ****ing frame. there's more flex in my seat rails and handlebars than anywhere else and this thing scoots like lightning, even with these big heavy wheels.
duh, clearance is an issue- but the 46t on my cranks has space to spare and the chainline is perfect with the included spacers. say what you will; these origin8 track pro cranks compliment the frame nicely. i originally thought "shoot I should have spent 30-40 more on omniums!" but now i'm not so sure. if i do, it will be so i can put these on the kilo and get rid of the hideous ultim8 cranks i have now. though performance wise, those cranks are good too.
all in all, i feel great on this bike and it entices me to ride harder and faster... which is about the highest praise there is for a bike in my mind. it's a huge improvement over the visp. they're two different types of bikes, really.

CC, me and my buddy will give you a run for your money...
Here's his frame, he bought a seat for it. Yesterday he received his headset in the mail, and I set up my alphaQ fork for him and got him a stem, so we'll probably see more pics soon:
CC, how do you like those orgin8 track cranks? I'm thinking about picking up a set of the black ultim8's for my FTP, I really like the way the flat black with the polished bits look, and I haven't seen anyone running those cranks yet (probably for good reasons). Whats your thought on them?

For truth, you must have weird proportions (or I have weird proportions, who knows). I tried riding it around the parking lot when I picked it up and it was way too small... I am also 5'8".

i think my legs and arms are just short for my torso. my frame has a 51.5 top tube, my sisters boyfriend who has some really nice road bikes was helping me look around because Im looking at mid/entry level road bikes, and he thought I should be on a 54. I probably should have drank my milk when I was younger

So, I got the single crimp FTP and didn't know about this all before. I now have to replace my omnium crank. I'm using a road SRM right now, but was thinking of getting either a DA or FSA. If I get a 113 bb, will I be alright either way? Will a smaller bb work with the FSA? Will the Origin8 integrated work? Is there anyway to crimp the stays myself without damaging the frame?

You need to get the BB that your crankset will work with, otherwise your chainline will be off. Crimping an aluminum frame just seems like a bad idea, don't do it. Don't cut corners you got the frame for next to nothing, spend what you need to get it working the right way the first time.

I'm thinking about picking one up? What sizes did you get and how tall are you? I'm just under 6ft and thinking about 56cm.
EDIT: nvm. There was a returned one on nashbar for $130 but its gone now.
