Budget Seatpost / Saddle ?

Hey guys my last post went unanswered o.o .. anyways I really have about 100 bucks to drop on either both the seatpost / saddle or buy one and buy the other later . I was reccommended a thompson seatpost but it was 90 bucks . I'm riding a 727tr leader any suggestions ? I like the aero seatpost that blend , but anything would work I just wanna start riding again .

The Charge Spoon seems like a well regarded budget saddle.

cc700 also said he likes his cheap Origin8 aero something or other ~$20.

Thomsons are nice, but there is no way I'd pay $90 for one. Buy a used one on eBay for ~$40-60, or less if you're lucky (I got mine for $20).

I saw "budget" and came in here about to suggest a $6 alloy post from your LBS. What would be a top dollar ****** post for you?

Nashbar has a nice carbon fiber seatpost for 35$.
If 27.2 is what ya need.
Got one on my Jabberwocky and I like it.

I like the way those Charge saddles look.
Seem nice for the price.

If you already have a saddle and seatpost and want nicer ones why buy cheap ones? Why not save up to buy ones that are actually nicer?

Kalloy Uno SP-248 Seat Post would be perfect if in black and 27.2mm wasn't out of stock .
@Higher Class, top dollar would be about $50-60max either seatpost or saddle .

The nashbar carbon seatpost looks nice but the charge knife is amaaazing .
@hamish5178 i don't own them already I need new ones since I sold my other frame with because I was riding 27mm .

$50-$60 are quite cheap considering some of the big name saddles and posts are well over $100.

Well I have a $20 Kalloy on my Mash, with a Thomson arriving today. The kalloy worked just fine, though it was a brick.

The used market is always the best bang for your buck. My butt support setup on my TET only cost me $60.

Also, you might not like saddles that other people suggest. If you're putting a lot of miles on your bike, you'll probably have to go through a few saddles before you find one you really like.

I've got one of those Kalloys in a 27.2 that I bought used on ebay. Since the wife veto'd the silver on black look on my IRO, I'd be willing to part with it.

Personally, I'd go with a budget post and get a quality seat.

@Scrodzilla no wayy !

The Kalloy post is nice , but the thomson post for 20-50 is a steal price . The charge spoon looks bulky , the knife has a nicer aesthetic . anything else similar to the charge knife ? I can't find many like it .

agreed. drop as much as you need to get a saddle you like (try ebay - ariones, slrs, slk's, flites for 50 in good condition if you look right) and get any post that fits.
