Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

the cyclist was probably just following the bike path. and seeing that their lines are all crooked, the cycling had no choice but to follow in zigzag pattern. its that country's fault really.

Just so we're clear, the zigzag lines mean it's a pedestrian crossing. The cyclist is a dumb**** trying to split lanes between a bus and a car and he got what he deserved. There is no bike path in that video.

Wow. That bus driver should be ashamed of himself. All self-respecting bus drivers should be aware of cyclists swerving by them at all times. Everybody knows that hipsters get right of way at all times!

People in a hurry usually suck. Whether in a car or on a bike.

Best Video title of the year so far, IMO.

His bars were clearly too wide. He should cut them down to 10cm.

I hope you're kidding. The problem wasn't his lack of brakes, it was his lack of brains (also, as mentioned, needs 20cm risers)

Well, technically there is but it begins after the intersection in which all the action takes place.

He should still have brakes, but I bet even if he did have them, he still would have done the same thing.

Brakes aren't the problem here. He was just too damn slow. If he coulda shaved 4 seconds off his time he woulda had an easy gap there.

I do love how he accelerates once that big red conveyor belt grabs hold of him!

Wow this guy is my favorite biker. All he has to do now is hill bomb into a crowded intersection. So XTREME!
