There's a company that's just getting started here in Atlanta called Gnome Bags that's based in my LBS (Loose Nuts). https://www.gnomebags.com

Sadly, his website isn't showcasing any of his recent work, but I'm going to do some photos of the custom bag he'll be making me within the next month.

I'll put in another vote for Jandd Mountaineering. Got a set of their large panniers in 1993 for my MTB, then fitted them to my motorcycle for my move back to the East Coast when school finished in 1994. Sold them around 2005, still in good shape. They were tough and well-made.

Now I have a used set of Cannondale-branded panniers that seem well-designed for storage, but not nearly as sturdy as the Jandd bags were.

I also have an Axio Swift Hardpack backpack that I have used on the motorcycle (no use for it on the bicycle) that has held up well for over three years of daily use.

No doubt you guys have seen the new Brooks Islington?

I've always wanted to look like I just jumped out of a plane and landed on a bicycle.

I'm sure I could actually go jump out of a plane for that price... Or buy a real paratrooper pack.

brooks has more of a following with their saddles. Everything else is too damn expensive

Kind of an understatement. Also, kind of obvious.
