Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Should I get a Shamino MX freewheel cog?
If so, should I get a 17t or 18t?

Should I put a black thomson elite seatpost on my Rush? I've been looking for a silver one but can probably get a better deal on black. Half of me wants to have an idgaf track mode utilitarian bike and the other half says that it will clash with my silver hubs, spokes, cranks, chainring, and stem.

I'd like it with a black Thomson seatpost, but I don't follow any of those rules.

I know my Kilo wasn't the prettiest thing ever, but I thought the black seatpost with black saddle looked pretty cool, Charlie:

hold out for the silver. I actually really love the look of calv's kilo right there, but I think I'd like it more with a silver seatpost

I went with a black Thomson Elite because it matched everything else on my bike.

For the Soma, I'd hold out for a silver post personally. I feel like you couldn't go wrong with either since your bike already has its fair share of both black and silver as it is.

I'm really curious about going clipless on the mash (especially since I plan on riding the ms150 fixed this year as well). So Should I pick up a pair of Mavic Zxellium's?

If yes, where should I go from there in determining pedals and all that

I'd say definitely go clipless with some shoes that fit you and won't completely break the bank. I've been riding Forte Carbon LOOK Keo style pedals with the 4.5 degree float cleat (the grey ones) which have been awesome. I suggest dem Keo'z.

Just email their support staff with what you want. I did that with the $99 Draft Lite deal on Cyber Tuesday or whatever, and they sold it to me at that price the next day with no issues at all. It's definitely worth a shot.

I thought you were trying to figure out how to do this stuff yourself? Save up until you can actually get the schooling.

does anyone know how close the finish of the wabi wheels are to the Kinlins? I ordered a wabi front and i want to build something a bit more substantial for the rear and still match for aesthetics.

This is going on my chrome Kilo TT and its already got a s300 and brooks in black.

Kinlins are glossy, Wabis are more of a matte finish.

Silver or Black SRAM Omniums for this bike.

Really leaning towards silver at the moment. I wish I needed 167.5mm, but I need 170mm.
